Watch Charli XCX – Cloud Aura ft. Brooke Candy
Charli XCX released a mix tape a couple of weeks ago that includes Brooke Candy and Giraffage among many others. It’s a breakup mix tape that features a lot of tears and waxing not so poetic.
Yesterday the video for Cloud Aura ft. Brooke Candy (and her metal bra) was released, and is a real tear jerker, with lots of video clips of people crying – wah wah. The Song has an ambient, dream pop sound with BC spitting some of the best verses I’ve heard from her. After her cameo in Grimes video “Genesis” I really Don’t think we’ve seen the last of her.
Charli XCX is kind of planting herself in this really great genre bending space between hip hop and synth pop, and I can’t wait to hear more.
